Assign employees to a team: Direct Report, Manager, Supervisee and Supervisor. Teams establish the supervision structure for the organization.

Access the Employees section from the Staff & Performance Development menu.
Restrictions for Team Assignments

Direct Report
- Employees assigned to a team can have multiple Direct Reports.
- Employee who is a Direct Report on a team cannot also be a Manager for that team.

Manager
- Employees can only have one Manager on their team for a given time period.
- Employee who is a Manager of a team cannot also be a Direct Report for that team.

Supervisee
- Employees can have unlimited Supervisees.

Supervisor
- Employees can have unlimited Supervisors.
Assign Team
- Select desired employee from the Employees - All Sites page.
- Click Edit link from the Actions menu or click on employee name.
- Click Team tab.
- Click Assign button. The Assign Team Member modal displays.
- Enter Team information.
* Denotes Required Field
- Team Member Name* - name of person on the team to whom the employee reports
- Role in relation to (employee name)* - the role relationship established by the team assignment
- Start Date * - Click in field or calendar icon to select date credential was issued
- End Date - Click in field or calendar icon to select date credential expires
- Click the Save and Assign button to automatically update team assignments on both employee team pages.
- Team connection displays on the Team page for the employee who made the assignment and the employee who was assigned.
- In the example below, the team assignment is being made from Liz Allen's page. The employee being assigned is Jose Martinez. Both employees' team pages will display the new assignment.
Example team connection: Manager > Direct Report
- Liz Allen assigned Jim Edwards as a Direct Report to her team.
- Jim (Direct Report) will report to Liz (Manager)
Liz Allen - team page

Jim displays on Liz's team page as a Direct Report in the Role To This Employee column.
Jim Edwards - team page
Liz displays on Jim's team page as a Manager in the Role To This Employee column.
Note: each team only has one manager.
- In the example below, the team assignment is being made from Liz Allen's page. The employee being assigned is Jose Martinez. Both employees' team pages will display the new assignment.
Unassign Team
- Click Team tab.
- Click Unassign link from Actions menu.
- Modal display confirming unassign connection is the desired action.
- Click Yes to Unassign the team connection.
- Click No to cancel action and return to the Team page.
- Click No to cancel action and return to the Team page.
Status Filter
Use the Status Filter to view team assignments by status.
- Current - displays currently active team connections
- Expired - displays expired team connections according to assigned start end dates.
- Future - displays future team connections according to assigned start and end dates.
- All - displays all team connections
- Click Filter by Status menu and select desired status.
- Statuses display from the Status column.
- Assignment start and end dates display from the Effective Date column.
- Click column arrows to organize the team display page to the desired order.
